First sighting of a bump at 14 weeks. Chad says its the baby but I'm wondering if I'm just storing up extra fat for the cold Iowa winter. This should all be settled tomorrow when I go to the doctor. Hopefully I will get to hear the heartbeat and have peace of mind there really is a baby in there...

13 Weeks
We are recovering from a busy weekend! Friday night we attended a Deloitte party and stayed out until midnight. Saturday night we bowled with 9 other couples. Even with a 178 on my third game Chad still beat me in our three game series by 11 pins. :(
Back to my lifetime movie network marathon!

12 Weeks
I have been feeling a little bit guilty that so much attention has been devoted to Baby Everitt these last few months so I decided to share a picture of the other member of our family this week. Say hello to Micky our beta fish we have had since May!

11 weeks
To answer Sarah's comment and clear up any confusion, the website is not pink because I am hoping for a girl. Pink just happens to be one of the choices from the blogger templates. I can change it to blue with the click of a button! Besides, we are referring to the little Rice Krispy as a 'he' until we find out the sex in 10 weeks or so because I don't like using 'it'. But just for fun, I'll take a family poll. Boy or girl?

Hello 2009!
We are very sad to see the holidays come to an end. We had a great time celebrating Christmas Eve with the Everitts in Davenport and then hopping on a plane Christmas day to Denver for a ski vacation. I stayed in the condo but Chad had a blast learning to ski. Unfortunately I only have a picture of him on his cell phone and I don't know how to upload it on the computer as evidence :( Maybe next time. The festivities continued New Years Day with another Hawkeye victory. At least one team in the Big 10 could represent this year!!!
In other news, Chad and I were very lucky to see baby Everitt yet again Monday. At 10 weeks the little rice krispy (our pet name instead of 'it') is doing great. We got to see lots of wiggling and a heartbeat of 175. I am still feeling fabulous and have not yet gained a pound. I'm sure that will change soon enough...

Una Cerveza Por Favor
I can already tell this blogging thing is not for me. I haven't posted in almost a month and since then we've had Thanksgiving, a trip to Mexico, and an ultrasound. You would think I could find something to write about... I am going to attempt to post a slide show of our pictures from Mexico. They are not very exciting, just us taking pictures of each other. Overall the vacation was very relaxing and the resort was beautiful. Our only complaints were that we rarely saw the sun and the pool was too cold to enjoy the swim up bar (we did attempt it one afternoon but froze). Our resort was all inclusive which Chad really enjoyed. He knows how to say 'Una Cerveza Por Favor' and 'Gracias', which is really all you need to know in Mexico. Thankfully the resort had Sol Sin Alcohol, their version of non-alcoholic beer, so I got to have a few as well. Definitely not as tasty as the real thing though! Oh well, enjoy the photos.
